Carrying workshop

The babywearing workshop is a time for exchange and learning. It is a time between you and our babywearing instructor to learn how to use your Studio Romeo product and ask the questions that bother you. A kind of initiation to the joys of babywearing! You can also see it as an express training (but it is not a course)!

Kindness is at the heart of our concerns : here, no judgment, only advice and friendliness.

The aim of this workshop is to teach you how to put on your baby carrier or baby sling and carry your baby while respecting physiological positions and essential safety measures.

They take place by videoconference and individually (of course, you can attend as a couple or as a family). The workshops are not just for mothers: they are open to fathers, older brothers and sisters as well as grandparents... Or to anyone around you who feels the need to try babywearing and have a little help to learn it!

All our babywearing workshops are taught by Anaïs, a mother of two and a certified babywearing instructor trained on many topics related to perinatal care. Since 2021, she has helped no fewer than 400 families discover physiological babywearing! We trust her completely 🙂

The carrying workshops consist of an individual video session lasting 20 minutes:

• The workshop starts with a video call on Whatsapp. All you have to do is prepare your equipment (baby carrier, sling, onbuhimo) and be accompanied by your baby or a doll if you have not yet given birth.
• The first 5 minutes of the babywearing workshop are about getting to know you: what motivated you to participate in the workshop, what are your needs, have you ever used babywearing... We take stock of your situation and your specific needs (e.g. whether you breastfeed or not, whether you or your child suffer from a disability, whether your child is prone to GERD, etc.)! This is an opportunity to adapt the workshop according to you, your desires and your expectations.
• Anaïs then moves on to the basics and the demonstration. First, she shows you the installation step by step, then it's up to you to reproduce her gestures! This way, she can share her technical advice with you when it's necessary or useful.
• Finally, at the end of the interview, our babywearing instructor offers a short discussion time to answer any remaining questions and give you some additional advice.

At the end of this interview, you will become a real babywearing pro!

And Anaïs is always available to answer your questions the next day and do a little follow-up after this first support 😉

The workshop is completely free and lasts around 20 minutes , during which you will have plenty of time to ask questions and practice with Anaïs' advice.

These introductory sessions on physiological babywearing are offered to help you master the different babywearing methods that you could choose and ensure their proper use. They give you all the keys and tools to practice babywearing in the safest way possible.

Whether you decide to adopt front, back or hip carrying, Anaïs will be able to show you how to use your means of carrying and give you advice adapted to your needs and your situation.

These workshops are aimed at (future) parents who wish to discover and familiarize themselves with the world of physiological carrying as well as those who have questions or doubts.

Our babywearing workshops are moments of sharing and learning where each parent can feel comfortable, without pressure. The goal is to reassure you in the use of your baby carrier while answering your questions and taking into account your specific needs. It is also an opportunity to learn more about the benefits of babywearing, both emotionally and physically, for you and your baby.

Don't worry, you don't need to have watched hundreds of tutorials before coming to the workshop! We're talking about a workshop and not a "course". As a general rule, all parents think they're doing things "wrong"... and realize in the workshop that they're not doing so badly 😉

Today, our workshops are offered individually, to allow you to ask questions that you would not necessarily dare to mention in a group.

At Studio Romeo, we want to democratize babywearing and make it more accessible. This involves products that are as easy to use as possible, but also discovery workshops to teach you little by little how to use our products.

Our mission is to support parents in preparing for the arrival of their baby and during the first years after birth. It is therefore quite natural that we offer these introductory babywearing workshops. You will go a long way with your Studio Romeo baby carrier, and we do not intend to let you down! We will be there to support you until the end and at each stage of your child's growth.

We also believe that babywearing should be accessible . This is why our workshops are free for all parents who have purchased (or received) a new Studio Romeo product. If you are interested in physiological babywearing, all you have to do is make an appointment with Anaïs!

We know that maternity products have a cost and many mothers want to buy some of their equipment second-hand.

Although second-hand is a mode of consumption that we approve of in most cases, we unfortunately do not encourage it for childcare products such as baby carriers. It is above all a question of wear and tear.

We ensure the quality of our products, their stretchy, elastic nature and their support. By scrupulously following the maintenance advice, we know that our baby carriers are solid and secure. On the other hand, we cannot know how the products found on private resale sites have been treated.

If the product has been washed on hot too many times, if the baby who used it was heavier than yours, if the fabric is more than ten years old... many parameters come into play and can make your baby carrier less efficient.

It is therefore to guarantee the safety and comfort of your baby that we do not encourage the use of second-hand products (when it comes to baby carriers).

We have also chosen to offer you free carrying workshops: on second-hand products, we cannot assume this additional cost.
