If your height and/or weight difference is too great, it is very likely that you will not be able to use the same size Duo baby carrier.
The size seems too small - the baby is too tight.
The size seems too small - the baby is too tight.
You may have this tight feeling the first time you put on the Duo baby carrier. It is important that your baby is held securely against you and does not move, just like in a classic sling.
For the Newborn position, depending on the morphology of the baby and the wearer, it can quickly become cramped. You can therefore move it to the position facing the wearer earlier, respecting a physiological position and the natural spacing of the hips, if you feel that the fabric is a little too tight.
Please note that the fabric will soften and relax with use and as your baby grows.
We recommend that you use your Duo a few times for short periods of time to get used to it and to get your child used to it.
The size seems too big - baby is too low.
The size seems too big - baby is too low.
Your child should not be too low under your chest and the position should remain comfortable for him as well as for you. He should be within kissing range.
If this is not the case, you can make a volte with the fabric on each shoulder. Making a volte consists of turning the side of the scarf over the shoulder by reversing the hems, so as to shorten the fabric and thus raise the baby slightly.
You can also wash your baby carrier (30° in the machine) so that the fabric tightens (Please note: no returns or refunds possible after washing).

Safety and physiology
How to respect the physiology of the baby and the wearer?
How to respect the physiology of the baby and the wearer?
Here are some rules to follow regarding physiology:
- The baby is in a "sitting/squatting" position: this is the natural position that the baby takes when you snuggle him against you, which allows him to hold on and anchor himself to the carrier (rounded back to respect the baby's dorsal kyphosis, leaning on his buttocks - never on his crotch or his feet -, naturally tilted pelvis, knees bent at navel height, thighs facing upwards and more or less apart to respect the hips, without forcing, depending on the age and the baby, head in line with his spine).
- The baby's back must be well supported by the fabric so that it does not sag.
- The baby carried in front is carried high enough to respect your back and to allow him to rest his head against your sternum (within kissing range).
- It is recommended to listen to your feelings and not hesitate to vary the positions.
Are there any safety precautions I should follow when carrying my baby?
Are there any safety precautions I should follow when carrying my baby?
To carry in the best conditions, it is important to respect a few safety rules and to be attentive to the needs of the child.
In the baby carrier, ensure that the child's airways are always clear of the fabric and that air circulates well around it. Face always visible to the wearer.
Dress baby accordingly, especially if it is hot, and take into account the fabric of the sling as a garment, as well as your body heat (37°). Cover the extremities (head, feet) to protect them from the sun or cold.
Moisturize regularly if it is hot and be careful in the sun.
In all positions, ensure that the baby can freely move his head, which must be in line with his spine.
Be attentive to the child's signals and behavior: respond to their needs and make the necessary adjustments in terms of position.
Do Studio Romeo baby carriers meet the standards?

The quality of our products is essential and tests are carried out in the laboratory according to the specifications of the European standard for child carriers NF EN 13209-2.
Our baby carriers comply with safety requirements and are designed to respect the child's psychomotor development.
Physiologically, they are also approved by the International Hip Dysplasia Institute which has classified them as “hip-friendly” products.
What about carrying facing the world? Can you carry your baby facing the world with Studio Romeo?
What about carrying facing the world? Can you carry your baby facing the world with Studio Romeo?
We do not recommend using it in the forward facing position as it puts too much pressure on the baby's back and joints.
This method of carrying, very common in the West, must be practiced sparingly and for short periods because it is not physiological.
I feel like my baby is not being held properly: what should I do?
I feel like my baby is not being held properly: what should I do?
If the baby carrier seems ill-fitting:
1) check that your baby is installed according to the safety rules stated;
2) the two bands must cross at the baby's neck so that it is held securely;
3) the two bands are deployed from one knee to the other, to give it a wide and stable base;
3) adjust the fabric using voltmeters if necessary.
If the problem persists, it may be a size issue and we advise you to contact Studio Romeo customer service in this case :)
Baby carriers and hip problems: what to do?
Baby carriers and hip problems: what to do?
All newborns are examined in the maternity ward to see if their hips are normally developed. Hip dysplasia cannot be caused by a baby carrier.
We are advised, approved and often recommended by midwives and other specialists in the case of wearing cuddle swaddles. Physiologically, our baby carriers are approved by the International Hip Dysplasia Institute who have classified them as “hip-friendly” products.
