Studio Romeo is once again teaming up with London brand BINIBAMBA to create a sheepskin lining for our Up&Go baby carriers. The perfect excuse to keep your babies warm this winter. A look back at the origins of this collaboration.
The meeting
An obvious meeting between BINIBAMBA and Studio Romeo as explained by Jeanne Dieuzaide, our founder “Emma and I followed each other since the launch of our respective brands on Instagram. We were also customers of each other. Living in Annecy, the winter is harsh, the warm and soft Binibamba products were obvious for my children. Finally, Emma and I met at Playtime Paris” . From this exchange was born the collaboration: a sheepskin to slip into the Up&Go. “ With shared values as strong as sustainability and our refined aesthetic, it was obvious” adds Jeanne. 
Woolly love at first sight
Emma, founder of BINIBAMBA, talks about her love for sheep's wool “It all started with a fur coat, found in a thrift store in Portland” A fashion crush that made her want to create her own brand, to offer this same feeling to other people. The feeling of having found “The one” , the piece that stays with us for a long time. Since then, the brand has been developing accessories (carpets, stroller liners for deckchairs, etc.) made of fur for the little ones, and even the big ones.
The benefits of merino wool
First point, BINIBAMBA sheepskin is a 100% natural, sustainable and biodegradable product. Emma sources it from suppliers who respect the animal. “We have a transparent supply chain all the way to the farms in Australia and New Zealand where our merino sheep are raised. Our sheep are treated ethically and are certified Mulesing-free,” explains Emma. The product is then assembled in the UK, the birthplace of the brand.
In addition to being ultra soft, merino wool is hypoallergenic and insulating. It lasts a long time and can be passed from one child to another. Slip it into our Up & Go baby carrier and it's an ultra-cozy blanket for your babies.
