Our list of baby essentials
Your baby is coming and with it a host of questions regarding equipment. What equipment should you choose and what are the baby essentials to add to your birth list? If you're afraid of succumbing to a gadget that you'll use twice and missing out on the essentials, check out our list compiled with the help of our community of parents.
Essential #1: the skin-to-skin headband
For the first months of your baby and to prolong the effect of pregnancy, we recommend skin-to-skin contact. In the event of premature birth, this practice is also recommended by the WHO. To facilitate this intimate moment, we have developed a simple and safe skin-to-skin headband to use. Our Easy Lover, to add to your list of essentials, is notably used in the neonatology department of the Necker hospital in Paris.
Essential #2: the baby carrier
When it comes to baby carriers, there is something for everyone, every age, every need! The most popular among our community is our Duo baby carrier , as @_cjajc_ testifies: " If I had to keep only one thing, it would be my Duo baby carrier from Studio Romeo ."
Both comforting and soothing, it is also voted "the hands-free kit par excellence" while making your travels easier. Among its many functions, the baby carrier rocks your child, reassures him, warms him. It treats small everyday ailments such as digestive problems or helps you get through the famous growth spurt, when your baby cannot bear to be left alone. In a baby carrier, your little one is right next to you, within reach of kisses and cuddles.
Ideal from birth, we also recommend our Sling which allows a first approach to carrying in all simplicity from the first weeks. Some parents like @anaisdessoly also confirm to us how "Carrying means are essential to breastfeed while continuing to move ".
For walks and strolls, also consider the versatile baby carrier like our Up & GO which allows you to carry your child on your back, without hindrance, as soon as he or she is a little older.
Parents' testimonies agree:
“ The baby carrier is viiiiie! ” @sarbrou
“ Your baby carrier! It’s definitely my must-have with my daughter! ” @camcdv
Essential #3: diapers
Another unanimous item on your list of must-haves: babyswaddles . This piece of fabric has a thousand and one lives. Made from ultra-soft cotton gauze, it is also called the Swiss army knife of newborns. It serves as a bib, sponge in case of regurgitation, comfort blanket, mattress protector, swaddle blanket, sun visor in case of a small ray, extra blanket or even for breastfeeding if you want privacy... We like to collect it ("we can never have enough") and scatter it around the house or in our pockets so that we always have one on hand.
Essential #4: the diaper bag
The diaper bag will hold diapers, small toys, diapers and any baby bottles when you travel. At Studio Romeo, we imagine it feminine and elegant, like a pretty handbag, in a sober and casual-chic style.
