Hello February,
Freshness, lots of softness and a touch of retro... This month we take you to meet Julie, aka @___mercilapluie, half-cool, half-chicken mom of Paul and Madeleine (we love these beautiful names) (and her look) (and her tastes, don't you ;) ?!).
Rather cool or hen, what kind of mom are you? Introduce yourself ;)
My name is Julie, I am the happy mother of a little Paul (2 and a half years old), and a little Madeleine (7 months old).Cool mom or mother hen? I would say both without hesitation. "Cool" enough to let them express themselves and discover life at their own pace and by themselves, and "Chicken" when there are little injuries, I hold them close to me, cover them with kisses and pamper them tenderly.
What are your 3 “must have” childcare accessories that you recommend to all future mothers?
A pretty practical changing bag, big enough with lots of pockets to take baby's essentials everywhere with you. Mine was hand-sewn by a designer at my request, it is in liberty neon Thé, I love it! Little cuddly swaddles (Moumout' & Numéro 74) and my cocoon scarf model Cross from Studio Romeo.
AND YOUR ESSENTIALS FOR GOING ON A WALK?
My Bugaboo Bee 3 in old pink, a warm and soft ecru blanket hand-knitted by my mother for Madeleine, and my changing bag of course!BY THE WAY, WHERE DO YOU LIKE TO WALK WITH YOUR CHILDREN?
On weekends, we always have something to do as a family. We love the Jardin d'Acclimatation, the Grande Galerie de l'Évolution, the Cité des Sciences and the large Parisian parks like the Jardins du Luxembourg.WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE TRAVEL DESTINATION?
Without hesitation, Reunion Island, where I come from. It's a magnificent island where life is good and which is full of thousands of activities at sea and in the mountains. A real breath of fresh air!YOU live in Paris, do you have any KID-FRIENDLY ADDRESSES OR GOOD DEALS to recommend to us?
When it comes to shopping, Paris is a real paradise for kids.I am a total fan of the Smallable concept store, rue du cherche midi. Botou, rue milton, which always offers stylish and delicious shoes, and of course Bonton, rue de Grenelle.
CREATORS, BRANDS, ARTISTS... WHO INSPIRES YOU?
I have a crush on some Spanish children's clothing designers. They have managed to keep a little retro touch in their creations while following the trend and remaining creative. (Bobo Choses, Sainte Claire, Beberlis, The Animal Observatory, Tiny Cottons...). I am a fan of the brand Numero 74, and more recently of an absolutely adorable brand Liilukid.WHAT ARE THE BLOGS YOU PARTICULARLY LIKE TO FOLLOW?
I am especially very present on Instagram, and I have a multitude of favorite accounts…. I really like the world of Camille Boillot, Et Dieu créa, We love Charlie, J'aurais pu meappelait Marcel and Oh Confetti.
Many thanks Julie for your time and these sweet photos ♡
