Flowers, pretty faces, sweetness and poetry... This month we meet Zara, aka @hyggestar on Instagram, a half-cool, half-chicken mom with a French-Spanish accent.
What kind of mom are you? Cool or slutty? Introduce yourself ;)
I'm Zara, a half-cool, half-chicken mom with a French-Spanish accent.
I am very present in the life and education of my children, while trying to respect the pace of development of each of them.I am also aware that a large family must rhyme with Organization but I must admit that sometimes, my cool side takes over and I like not to plan too much and let myself (us) be surprised (to the great despair of my husband who is much more square than me ;)
What are your 3 “must have” childcare accessories that you recommend to all future mothers?
For me, the real "must have" is the baby carrier, without hesitation. Ultra practical with one baby... so from two babies it's a question of survival LOL. And this so pleasant and fusional side of feeling baby against you... pure happiness.
Another accessory that I am very attached to is the Cocoonababy.Ok, none of my children started sleeping through the night thanks to it, but it really is a very safe ergonomic cocoon for the newborn.
Finally, I really like Béaba's Bib'expresso.
Quick, easy and practical for preparing a bottle...even in the middle of the night with your eyes half closed ;)
AND YOUR ESSENTIALS FOR GOING ON A WALK?
My essentials kit for a walk consists of a baby carrier, baby changing equipment, a multi-functional swaddle and food for the children.
BY THE WAY, WHERE DO YOU LIKE TO WALK WITH YOUR CHILDREN?
We are lucky to live in the heart of nature, between the sea and the mountains, so we alternate between walks on the beach and in the many green spaces that our beautiful Basque Country has to offer.
Quite a city girl at heart, I really like walking around town with my family. Whether in cities near us or on vacation…WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE TRAVEL DESTINATION?
I really have a crush on the Nordic countries.
Every time I go there, it's crazy love. And this feeling was amplified with the arrival of children because in these countries (especially in Denmark) the child is king.
Cities on a human scale, with huge parks, a slow and Hygge rhythm... BUT ABOVE ALL cities where you can live well as a family and make plans with the children both outdoors and indoors.
And for this approaching summer, any vacation spots to recommend?
The Basque Country and neighboring regions such as Landes and Dordogne are full of magnificent landscapes.
Also, holiday locations that are dear to us like the Ile de Ré, Minorca in the Balearic Islands, Barcelona...Do you have any KID-FRIENDLY ADDRESSES OR TIPS to share in your region?
The Château d'Abbadia estate in Hendaye.
Excursion to the small villages of the inland Basque Country located near the Rhune and why not take the little train that takes you to the summit. At the top the view is breathtaking.Saint Jean de Luz with its large beach and small streets.
Isla Santa Clara is a very small island located right in the middle of La Concha Bay in San Sebastian (Spanish Basque Country).
Children love it, it feels like a small island in the Mediterranean and the atmosphere is very family-friendly.
WHAT ARE THE BLOGS, CREATORS, BRANDS, ARTISTS... THAT INSPIRE YOU?
Due to lack of time, I am not a big consumer of blogs except for the blogs I have a particular attachment to. This is the case of Ana's blogs @hendayestyle and @loismoreno.Instagram is a faster and more visual means of communication.
Thanks to IG, I discover creative universes where connection and sharing of values are instantaneous.
I particularly like the following creators @petitbecbyolive @risurisuparis @marceletcapucine and @studioromeo of course ;)
Beyond the beautiful creations, what attracts me are the people who inspire me behind these brands and the quality and care they give to their products.
A CULT OBJECT ON YOUR DESK OR IN YOUR BAG?
On my desk :
Flowers, my diary and a minaudière from my dear mother that I use as a storage box.In my bag:
A notepad and pen, lipstick and nuts for good luck.
A TIP YOU WILL NEVER FORGET?
A mother's decision regarding her child is always her best decision. You have to trust your instincts and be kind to yourself.
