Why carry your baby on your back?
Since the launch of our Up&Go, many of you have asked us why you should carry your baby on your back... Here is a short compilation of the many advantages of adopting a back baby carrier.
The 7 advantages of back carryingÂ
- Your baby explores differently
Comfortably seated behind your back, your child has seen the world. His sensory functions are stimulated and he sees the same thing as you.
- Increased freedom of movement
Having your child on your back gives the wearer even more autonomy. Our Koala Moms are unanimous. "I have even more free hands. Especially for cooking, managing the household." says @Soavic.
- A positive development
Your baby's emotional and physiological development is just as boosted as during traditional babywearing. Sensory functions are stimulated. Happy hormones are released thanks to the baby's sense of security. In short, your child is in heaven and so are you!
- Easy carrying for pregnant women
The good news is that even large bellies can carry on the back, especially with our Up&Go which does not have a back belt. @caro_fc_dd admits to having started back carrying "When my pregnant belly no longer allowed me to carry on the front".
- Carry your baby longer without back pain
Among our testers, Marie Faure Ambroise (also known as @mytraveldreams), is a globetrotting mom who has covered more than 15 km of mountain with our Up&Go. Another testimonial that joins the comfort side "I had much less back pain with your baby carrier than with this big thing... It's just great." @MarieM.
- Ideal for carrying big babies
From a certain weight, we feel more comfortable carrying our baby on our back, the weight being well distributed on the shoulders and hips of the wearer. This is the case of @Ollybyjoy. She started using a back baby carrier "when my daughter exceeded 10 kgs and she was becoming a little heavy for the front".
- Practical when you have several young children
This goes back to our point on freedom of movement. Anne aka @simplicite_ici tells us about her daily life : "My son is starting to weigh a lot. So back carrying for long hours is preferable. It allows me to go about my business, to take care of my eldest in peace, it's really great."
