Hello November!
This month, Julia took part in our mini-interview. Mother of two, blogger (we highly recommend you follow her on IG ) and traveler, she loves to wander with us and we love her world and her recipes :p
Introduce yourself :)
I am a young thirty-something mother of a little Anna who will soon be 4 months old. I work in the health field but I am also very passionate about cooking and food photography. I like to style my recipes, to stage them beautifully to make your mouth water at first glance. I also like to travel as much in big cities, always looking for good food addresses as walking in the great outdoors.
What are your essentials for going on a trip?
A changing bag, our stroller and also my Studio Romeo baby sling, very useful for carrying my little baby in places that are difficult to access with a stroller.
What is your favorite travel destination?
With baby we love long, quiet walks in natural spaces. We are lucky to live in a beautiful region (Aquitaine) and we love going for walks on the coast, especially in the Basque Country but also in the neighboring region of Charente Maritime. Getting a breath of fresh air with baby is always nice!
Your favorite kid-friendly addresses or tips?
I love the online stores Plumeti and Yellow Flamingo, a top selection for children, both for clothing and decoration and even educational games.
In Bordeaux I have not yet tried the kid-friendly places, our little Anna is for the moment very calm in her stroller or in our arms when we go out.
Designers, brands, artists... who inspire you?
I have sincerely fallen in love with Studio Romeo baby slings. They are easy to use, beautiful and also made from eco-friendly materials and I really like that!
I love the cuddly toys from the Danish brand Maileg, full of poetry and softness!
And then on the clothing side I am completely under the spell of the Californian brand Rylee and Cru created by the illustrator Kelli Muray with graphic and delicate prints. But also French brands Poudre Organic and Moumout with pieces with simple lines and colors and prints in tune with the times, which change every season and in addition made in Europe with organic cotton.
Do you follow any blogs and which ones?
Yes, I follow quite a few blogs. Sunrise Over Sea, La Famille des Loups, Un duvet pour deux for the "regional" ones. Ophelie's Kitchenbook, Carnets Parisiens and Meg and cook for the culinary ones. Jesus sauvage, Lili in the moon and Jaurais pu m'appelle Marcel for the kids friendly ones... A small selection among many others!
